The latest LERN Recommendation. Only put faces on the cover of your brochures.
Across the marketing and advertising industry, faces have been proven- – with scientific A/B split tests- – to attract and engage readers more than any other kind of images.
There’s no reason to have anything less productive on your cover.
Tips:
-Only 1-3 faces on each cover.
-One image, not multiple images on the cover.
-Eyes looking at the camera is best.
-Actual local learners or teachers, not stock photos.
-Conveys an emotion: success, excitement, fun, etc.
-Motion is even more engaging.
-Close ups resonate more.
-A marketing tag line, a few words advocating a class or category featured in the image, seals the deal in attracting and engaging with prospective learners.
-Diversity. To display your participants’ diversity, and your program’s welcoming of diversity, have a different demographic featured each brochure. Do not try to squeeze in people from every demographic in one photo. Instead, have other photos in your brochure featuring participants from other demographics.
