This year is the 40th anniversary of the founding of LERN. The first newsletter came out with the banner headline, “Treasurer Splits with Funds.” Just a note to those of you starting an organization – – this is not the best way to promote your membership drive.
We are pleased to report “the funds” was $200 and no one has absconded with anything since.
LERN celebrated its 40th anniversary at the big LERN conference in Orlando with an all-conference reception featuring blues musician Beautiful Bobby Blackmon.
